Sports Weekend
We've moved from solely soccer to several sports. This past weekend saw Will's swim meet and Matthew's volleyball tournament initiate us into the joys of other sports. Fortunately both were held at school / in the same location.
Go team!
Will filled in at the last minute on the 16-18 yr old boys' medley team - and they won a medal!
Penny grew up about 20 minutes away from me. I had to come all the way to Chennai to meet her tho.
This was a game played by all the swim teams at the end of the meet: the coach pushed a GIANT block of ice (about 3' x 4' ?) into the pool, broke up the teams into three or four groups, and had them push each other around on the ice. The nominal goal was to keep your team afloat and pass on the ice block before it melted, but the real goal was fun & bringing the teams together after a long two days of competition. It was great fun to watch!
