Trees

I love trees. Like many big cities, Chennai has parks and shaded streets,

and other areas where there are few trees to be found.  But note the greenery in the divider between lanes.

Definitely in a tropical country!

 But when trees fall, or are in the way, they're hacked...  or left as stumps.  We haven't seen any new planting, and we've seen a number of trees down after storms.

 Coconuts above a house.  We've heard people climb the trees to remove the nuts before they fall & hit someone.

 The neighbor's lime tree, which conveniently leans into our yard, and provides limes (with a bit of encouragment) for the boys - ours & the security guard's.
